Casey is a sweet and handsome 5 - 6 year old male GSP who has settled in well at his foster home while being treated for heartworm. His prognosis is good, but he has some occasional tenderness that is being evaluated. He’s calm, great with kids, dogs, cats, and ignores pet birds. Crate trained. Loves to be with people.

Update:

We found out he had buckshot in his back (poor baby!) and he’s had surgery to relieve the pain that was causing him. He’s feeling fabulous and his fosterer wonders if she brought a different dog home from the vet. He’ll be going for his second heartworm treatment and should be ready to be adopted later this summer. It’s been a long road for Casey, but things are looking up for this boy.
