Must be something good back there, let me get it, let me get it!

I got you, I got you! Help me, help me!
September 2007

This is what happens when no one is watching! Do they pee on the pee pad? No! They think it’s a toy!

Cal is here, and he is soooo sweet! Not only that, he likes to talk! You have to hear it to believe it.
Shotzi is turning out to be a great dog. She’s good-looking and very sweet. She enjoys people and other dogs.

Miley is a fun and sweet young girl. She loves to sit for food, and is incredibly attentive. She just had pups, but is recovering well and should be ready to be adopted by mid-October. Miley is going to make some lucky family a great new best friend!
Here they are, nine pups in a pool! These are Miley’s pups, and our best guess is that they are GSP/lab mixes! The volunteer who saw them being born said, “I never would have believed that those were her puppies if I hadn’t watched them come out of her!”
Ticker is a doll! So sweet and mellow for such a young GSP. He’s been quite sick for the 3 weeks he’s been in foster, but is now turning the corner. He must have gotten kennel cough that went untreated, coupled with him being underweight and stressed, it turned into a bad infection in his sinuses and lymph nodes.
Today, he brought the ball to me and played fetch! Who knew? He even brings the ball back! What a doll! He’s on the road to recovery, needs to build up his stamina and put on alittle more weight. Once he’s done with this 4th course of antibiotics and clear for a week, he’ll be ready for adoption.
Ticker gets along with all dogs, and is submissive. So, he needs to go to a home as an only dog, or to a home with calm, dog friendly canines. Ticker does chase cats, but stops when corrected. He has wonderful recall and a very soft mouth. He’s house trained, and despite lots of encouragement to the contrary, stays off the furniture. He does like to sleep in bed with his humans as long as his head is not under the covers. He finally has a good appetite, and wiggles gleefully when his meals are being prepared. He’s great on a leash and doesn’t seem to have any fears. He also loves the car. He’s a doll!!! Have I mentioned that yet???

Suzie has been a very good mom to her puppies! The puppies are almost weaned, and soon Suzy can begin looking for her forever home. It’s tiring being a mom to 8 puppies and she’s glad her duties are almost over. Now Suzy has more time to play. She loves stuffed toys and enjoys a good chew on her dog bed. She’s also gaining some confidence and will need to continue working on socialization. It’s great to see her tail wagging now!
This sweet 9 year old GSP has just arrived in rescue. We’ll post some pictures soon, after she gets settled in.
