Hendrix likes to cuddle up on the pillow next to his big sister GSP Jessie.
January 2008
Although Hendrix is not able to walk, he is able at times to push his rear legs into a standing position. He now eats standing up.
Mitchell had an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon today, and relatively good news! There is a slight fracture and a partially torn ligament in his rear leg, but he will not need surgery. Instead, he will be in a cast for 4 weeks that will be changed weekly to accommodate his growth and to fit closely to his leg as the swelling decreases. Once his leg has healed, he’ll be ready to be neutered and find his forever home!
Hendrix got to meet and play with another GSP pup!
Look at that handsome face!
And he got to meet a cat!
Claire loves to lounge around!
And she goes for the loving too! Why aren’t you down here loving on me?
Claire also got out of the shelter in the nick of time. It didn’t take her very long to get comfortable in her foster home!
Hugo has made it safely to his foster home. It must have been an exhausting trip, and as you can see, he is so glad to have a safe, warm place to snooze! He got out of the shelter just in time.
This little cutie has just arrived in his foster home. He’s 8 1/2 weeks old and needs surgery on one of his rear legs due to an injury. He has an appointment on Wednesday with our wonderful orthopedic surgeon. Then we’ll have a better idea of just what’s wrong and what can be done to help him.
He was actually able to carry this camera around!

But it wore him out and he had to have a nap!
Since Ida was so enthusiastically jumping for her ball, we decided to see if she’d jump over a hurdle as well.

She loves treats! All it took was to lure her on over!

As you can see, she is quite agile. She quickly made the one bar jump seem very short, so we went ahead and added another bar.

What great form!
