Health update: Ollie had been having some small intermittent seizures, and his vet thought it best if he started on phenobarbitol. He’s reached the therapeutic level and is doing super! Best of all, this medication costs only $5 per month to keep him seizure free - and he just loves taking his medicine from a spoon with a little dog food! Not only that, the other dogs now want their “medicine” from a spoon too - don’t tell, but they only get dog food on their spoons.
His coat is beginning to look so much better now that he’s getting good nutrition, and as the new coat comes in it’s a beautiful shiny liver. The regular exercise he’s getting in his foster home is helping him become firm and trim again - isn’t that what we all want?!?
His nickname is Moochie, because if you’re not careful, he’ll sneak things from the counter! He’s a character and has a lot of personality, seeming much younger than his age. He likes everybody and is really sweet!
Here’s Duke, checking things out. He’s either going around at full speed, making it difficult to get a sharp picture of him, or he’s sleeping. He’s just getting settled in at his foster home, and needs to put on some pounds. That running around will help him build muscle too! He had a hard time at the shelter and was starting to go kennel crazy, but now that he’s getting some exercise and love and attention, he’s doing much better. He’s handsome and will look super once he fills in.
What a beseeching look!
Spot (yes, he has a spot, it’s on the other side!) loves to play with Magoo - you sniff me, I sniff you.
