Piper report! A great update from her foster mom!
I can’t, in recent memory, say I’ve come across a sweeter dog than Piper. She is so easy going and happy. She loves toys very much, treats, walks, and rides in the car. And eating.
She gets along with everyone and the cats are about 99% normal with her in the house, meaning she doesn’t frighten them and she is very respectful of them. My sister’s boxer has a higher prey drive than Piper.
On our walk today, she started showing a few signs that she is a GSP! Sniffing around and showing interest in exploring. She isn’t fond of water but did stick a toe in the river!
She is about 99% housebroken and is perfect if you “remind” her to go pee, which she will do if you ask and she is able.
We haven’t had any more ottoman incidents, as we have made a more concerted effort to have toys around and we crate her with a treat when we go out. She still whines but is taking to the crate with more ease than before.
She plays throughout the day, but especially in the mornings with my sister’s fox terrier mix puppy and she is quiet and gentle as can be, playing literally for hours.
That’s another thing: she’s very quiet. Rarely barks.
