Bowdie got a treat and was happily chewing away in the yard when the cat decided to stalk Bowdie. It didn’t take long for him to lose interest in the cat and get back to the treat!

He’s doing great!!! He’s made lots of trips with us to Red Bluff where his foster grandparents live. This past weekend he finally stepped into the pool all by himself and was enjoying the cooling off. He’s very attached to me, his foster mom, and my nickname for him is “my shadow”. He really likes the company of fellow dog friends. He likes the cat but she just won’t play with him and I know he wishes she would. He very happily had a bath today. He just stands so nicely while being bathed and doesn’t try to get away. His brown is so super shiney now and his white so very white! He absolutely loves to be towel dried! He gets so excited and just runs in and out of the towel. I’ll get some new pictures posted soon. He seriously dodges the camera every time he sees it so he’s hard to get good pictures of…unless he’s sleeping. Bowdie is such a sweet companion. He’s happy tagging along wherever you go. He loves going out for walks and welcomes the attention and pets from the people we meet. He’s gotten along wonderfully with all the other dogs we’ve met, big and small. I do think he’d enjoy a home with another dog friend.
Get a load of Grace looking for someone to play with! She LOVES all toys. She’d like everyone to know that her eye is all healed. (She’s done with her 2 week “social recovery” for those who know their cosmetic surgery lingo!) A pug has just joined Grace’s foster home and Grace thinks she’s just fine and dandy. If you’re looking for a GSP who gets along with small dogs, Grace may be the one. How many more reasons can there be to adopt Grace? Click the link below to see Grace in action.
Even Great Senior Pooches like Mercy enjoy a good chew bone. Mercy actually got impatient waiting for her bone and went and got it out of the bag herself! She’d also like everyone to note how polite she is, even when the resident pug comes to check her out while she’s chewing. Add that to her resume–living harmoniously with a small dog:)
