Insticts!! Her favorite toy.. Go figure..

Pixie is doing great! As you can see she loves her Duck toy, and is putting on weight. She has now met several children and is very gentle with all of them. When they pet her head, she is calm and sweet and quietly snuggles into their hands. She wasn’t nervous at all. She continues to make lots of friends at the dog park. She loves to race around with many different dogs and is a speedy little cutie. A great leash runner, she loves all the dogs she encounters while on leash, is calm and sweet around children and is a big snuggle bug when at home. She is doing great sleeping in her crate and is quiet and sleeps soundly until morning. She is not possessive over her food at all — she and my girl, Daisy shared a bully stick the other day — both chewing an end. Her little body curls up into a ball when she is tired and she loves to push her nose into your lap or even armpit where it is warm! She will make a great family dog.

Pic 2. As you can see, Pixie is a little on the thin side. She’s been eating and eating and eating since arriving in foster care, and is putting on weight. Pretty soon she won’t look so bony!

I just got back from the dog park with Pixie. For the past week, I have been walking and running with her twice per day, but she is a high energy little bugger and it wasn’t enough. I was hesitant to take her to the dog park too soon, since she is recovering from being spayed. SHE LOVED IT! She ran around like crazy and ran the entire perimeter of the park multiple times. Additionally, she loved the other dogs. In particular, she loved the smaller dogs — a Jack Russell Terrier and a French Bulldog. She would run at them, jump over them and try to get them to chase her. All of the dogs liked her. She is very freindly. When she arrived to our home, she was frightfully thin. She has already put on weight and runs around like she is happy as can be, as if to say: “I have a full belly, a warm bed, a sweet foster sister named Daisy and lots of love”. She is a very happy little peanut.
