Yay! Ticker is off to his new family. They already have grown quite attached to him. Lucky boy!
Ticker
Ticker is a doll! So sweet and mellow for such a young GSP. He’s been quite sick for the 3 weeks he’s been in foster, but is now turning the corner. He must have gotten kennel cough that went untreated, coupled with him being underweight and stressed, it turned into a bad infection in his sinuses and lymph nodes.
Today, he brought the ball to me and played fetch! Who knew? He even brings the ball back! What a doll! He’s on the road to recovery, needs to build up his stamina and put on alittle more weight. Once he’s done with this 4th course of antibiotics and clear for a week, he’ll be ready for adoption.
Ticker gets along with all dogs, and is submissive. So, he needs to go to a home as an only dog, or to a home with calm, dog friendly canines. Ticker does chase cats, but stops when corrected. He has wonderful recall and a very soft mouth. He’s house trained, and despite lots of encouragement to the contrary, stays off the furniture. He does like to sleep in bed with his humans as long as his head is not under the covers. He finally has a good appetite, and wiggles gleefully when his meals are being prepared. He’s great on a leash and doesn’t seem to have any fears. He also loves the car. He’s a doll!!! Have I mentioned that yet???
