Sammy is a sweet 13 year old spayed female GSP who is settling into her foster home. She came into rescue after being turned in at the Yolo County shelter’s night deposit box because her owner is very ill/dying and is unable to care for her any longer. It was noted that her sibling just passed away two weeks ago and she is still mourning the loss.

Sammy lived with other dogs, is good with people and kids, and did well when tested with cats at the shelter (even seemed a little afraid of them!). She’s in good health, although seems quite depressed due to all the changes in her life recently. She needs a permanent loving home for her remaining years, with a family to dote on her and a cozy bed to curl up on.
